I have a job offer for the Ex Phys lab at school (Exercise Physiology is one of my two majors. Psychology is the other.) Can't decide if I want to take it or not. I don't want to get too busy and overwhelmed because then the Ana takes over. I also don't know how triggering it will be. Already, Nutrition class is extremely triggering. I've been advised by my docs to drop the Ex Phys major. Don't know what to do at this point. I want to be a physiologist so badly, and work with mental health patients and help them reach a healthy relationship with exercise and learn to use it in place of antidepressants, anti-anxiety meds, ADHD meds, and mostly help people like me with exercise addictions. But it may just be too triggering. How can I help them if I haven't yet worked through my own stuff? And is it worth it if it pushes me further into an unhealthy hole?
I'm extremely conflicted.
