"Feeling Fucked Up And Shitty" Box

So this is an idea that I got from IfGreenShouldSlip on youtube. She talked about having a sort of distraction box for when you want to binge/purge/overexercise/self harm/whatever. I thought it was a pretty good idea, so I put together my own and gave it the nifty little title above. It consists of:
  • A book that is light, fun, and takes me "somewhere else" (right now it's the first book in the Pendragon series by D.J. Machale. My best friend's favorite series. Sci Fi.)
  • The mandatory journal and pencil
  • I complicated coloring book and pencils/crayons
  • A sketch book
  • A book of Sudoku puzzles
  • A box of Poppers (those little firecrackers you throw on the ground and they pop. I like to go on a walk with a box when I get pissed off)
  • A light/fun/distracting movie (right now it's Premium Rush with Joseph Gordon-Levitt)
  • Some tea bags/a pack of gum/a small bag of hard candy
  • Some pictures of my loved ones
  • My favorite poem
Through this toilsome world, alas,
Once and only once I'll pass.
If a kindness I may show,
If a good deed I may do,
To a suffering fellow man,
Let me do it while I can.
No mistake, for it is plain,
I shall not pass this way again.

So yeah. I'm pretty excited, and it's already worked to distract me a couple of times. I highly recommend this idea. If you have additional ideas for your own box or for other people's boxes, feel free to comment below!
