Grand Falls and Oxytocin

AMAZING DAY yesterday!!! Casey and I went to the grand falls and spent three hours just swimming and goofing off. We swam to the big rocks right at the base of the falls and opened our arms and felt the spray on our faces. THAT is living people! THAT is how you spend a Saturday. Yes it was a little cold, yes sometimes the pokey rocks hurt our feet, yes we were dead tired after fighting such a strong current, but it was so much worth it and so alive. Hopefully soon we will get to go to the Wildcat Glades and hike around there.
This city girl also learned to skip stones! First one skip, then two. I repeated it a couple times. I'd tried to learn before, but it was my sister who was teaching me (take that as you will). As soon as Casey began to teach me, I picked it right up! Climbing on branches, getting dunked, looking for smooth rocks. Found a snail! And some frog eggs!

And here's a huge part. I wore a swimsuit, a two piece, and didn't cover it up with shorts and a tshirt! I can't remember the last time I wore a two piece swim suit that wasn't a tankini and didn't cover it up. I was so nervous at first and self conscious of my scars showing. It was a nice day at the falls, so there were some other people there, but once I got in the water, it was fine, and then by the end of the afternoon, I was relaxed enough and having enough fun that I could walk around outside of the water without being conscious of my scars showing or my stomach fat.

Didn't feel super ok about having my swimsuit body photographed,
but still got this pic.

I'll leave you guys this morning with an interesting article that I'm super excited about. I don't care how preliminary the research is. I don't care that it's kinda a shot in the dark, I am getting some of this shit!!! Oxytocin Shows Promise In Treating Anorexia
