Nourishing My Body

Finals are over! Woohoo! Heading up to Joplin today for a little therapy and for Casey to stop by Honda and hopefully get some stuff figured out with his car. Workouts planned, and no bingeing for a few days, which has allowed me to relax a little on the restriction.

I have the best boyfriend ever! I was struggling last night with some pain in my stomach, on the upper right side, whenever I ate yesterday. He took me last night to get a little warm soup, which was amazing. And we had TED Talk Tuesday!

My parents are coming tomorrow to help move me back home, and then I have two weeks of rest before things start up again! I know, craziness.

Working right now on learning to eat with the intention of simply doing what is healthy for my body. My boyfriend says he's worried because I have my "safe foods" that I eat all the time, so my diet isn't very varried. Hey, at least I'm eating regularly and healthily. I need a little more time to work on the "real foods" thing.

It's also difficult since I often have pain when I eat and don't get normal hunger cues like other people, so I have to be very in tune with what my body is telling me to know what it wants and what is healthy for it.

So, reports on finals, I think I got all Bs and maybe 1 or 2 As. Long story short, even though I only got my first B ever last semester and this semester has been totally butts in regards to grades and school, it has been survived and I don't think I'm going to lose my scholarship! I got everything turned in that I needed to and I'm all enrolled and ready to go for next semester. Thinking about signing back up for the Ex Phys major, because I just can't seem to wrap my head around letting it go, but we will see.

Excited to see my parents tomorrow!

  1. I know what you mean about "real foods" vs. "safe foods." That is one thing that is kicking my butt in this pregnancy. I can't live off of my safe foods like I always have. I still eat them most of the time (or "safe" versions of "real" food) and my husband is like "you should eat this or that" and I'm like "hey, I'm eating, okay?" Lol!!! It's a start. You're doing great!!!! And by the way, warm soup is the very best thing ever. I just ate some myself! :D
