Eating Disorder vs. Disordered Eating

So a while ago I mentioned that I would talk about the difference between these two labels. Basically disordered eating is anything from not eating because you're sad to emotional eating to working out for 4 hours because you're angry. It is a disordered behavior that 99.9% of the population has engaged in at some point. Everyone has gotten sad before and eaten 3 donuts. While that was disordered because they weren't hungry and didn't really want or need 3 donuts, it is not a binge and is a once in a blue moon thing and is not an eating disorder.

Eating disorders are disordered behaviors repeated all day every day to the point when it's all you think about and it consumes your life.

Disordered eating is normal (maybe not ideal, but normal). Eating disorders are not.
